At Barry's Dogstore our aim is to provide an overall service to pet owners throughout the Costa del Sol, including advice on nutrition and other aspects of pet ownership, as well as promoting the adoption of dogs and/or cats from our local animal rescue centres and helping them with their fund-raising and other activities.See some of the services that we offer.
Why Barry?
Barry's Dogstore takes its name from Barry, the legendary Saint Bernard dog who, between 1800 and 1812, saved the lives of 40 people, lost or trapped in the Swiss Alps (Great St. Bernard Pass).
Of the many myths surrounding him, undoubtedly the most well-known is the legend that Barry died on a rescue mission, at the hands of a lost soldier who, in the mistaken belief that the animal coming to his rescue was going to attack him, wounded it fatally with his bayonet.In fact, Barry died peacefully at the monastery in 1814, at 14 years of age.
