At Last! The Camino Begins! On Saturday 14th March we are giving our walkers a party in the Parque de Los Pedregales. The 7 week expedition to Santiago de Compostela, covering 1200 kilometres starts the following morning, on Sunday 15th . Obviously we want to give all our volunteer walkers a really good send-off to help them on their way and show our appreciation and above all to our dogs. They represent all abandoned animals and are the most important characters in this adventure: Rompe, Volver, Harpo, Kimo, Uno, Moro,Oscar, Perrie and Rambo will be waiting for you to bid them farewell and photograph them together with their friends who will be accompanying them. Dear Member, In just four weeks time ADANA’s greatest adventure begins. The walkers and dogs for El Camino set off on Sunday 15 March on their trek of 1200 kilometres to Santiago de Compostela. They will do their part and now we must do ours. Those of you who are not walking can make the whole thing worthwhile by getting sponsors for the dogs. It is absolutely essential for the future of ADANA that El Camino is a financial success. Please download sponsorship forms from the web page http://www.elcamino.adana.es/PaginasenIngles/Sponsoradog.html or use the front page of the Newsletter and get as many of your friends, family, neighbours etc to give something. It really does not matter how much but we must get the money rolling in. You can, of course, sponsor on line using the address given above. To give the walkers and dogs a send off we are planning a Bring and Share party on Saturday evening 14 March. The walkers will be assembling and staying in the cabins to the left of the main entrance to Los Pedregales Park. So please come and wish them buen viaje. We ask that everyone brings a plate of food to share and something to drink. The walk starts very early on Sunday morning so we must let everyone get to bed. With that in mind we plan to start at 18.00 and finish by 21.00 at the latest. We hope to see you there.
